Smoke and Ash Blanket Northern Arizona as Dragon Bravo Fire Expands

The Dragon Bravo Fire, raging through the North Rim, has rapidly expanded to nearly 26,000 acres over the weekend. This intense blaze has sent towering columns of smoke drifting across significant areas including Marble Canyon and House Rock Valley.

Residents and visitors at Lees Ferry were met with a strange sight as ash from the fire descended, leaving a thin film over the river’s surface. This phenomenon lent the already distinctive landscape an otherworldly appearance.
