Voices of the Staff Engage in Camp Cleanup
Last month, staff members from the University of Michigan’s Voices of the Staff program participated in community service at Camp North Star Reach in Pinckney. This was the second “Half Day of Service” aimed at supporting children with significant medical needs. Nearly 50 staff members engaged in activities like window cleaning, flowerbed weeding, and painting to ready the camp for its June opening. The Voices of the Staff initiative promotes employee engagement and workplace improvement at the university.
U-M Embarks on Core Administrative Tech Upgrade
U-M is initiating a multi-year modernization of its core business systems, enhancing finance, human resources, and student administration management. The shift will replace outdated ERP systems, such as M-Pathways, with a cloud-based platform, accommodating future institutional needs. These systems are vital across Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Flint campuses, and Michigan Medicine. The legacy M-Pathways system is costly to maintain, and vendor support is ending. This move aligns with broader trends in higher education and healthcare towards secure, data-driven platforms. ERP vendors will demonstrate their systems during sessions on June 15 and June 22. The hybrid sessions offer limited in-person seating and are open to all campuses and Michigan Medicine. Registration details are at erp.umich.edu.
