Actor Jonathan Joss Tragically Killed in Texas Altercation

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Jonathan Joss, a beloved actor known for his work in popular television series. The 59-year-old actor was fatally shot on his Texas property following a confrontation on Sunday, June 1.

Joss, a Comanche and White Mountain Apache descendant, gained fame through his voice role as John Redcorn in the animated series “King of the Hill,” which is set to make a comeback this summer. He also appeared as Chief Ken Hotate in “Parks and Recreation,” representing the fictional Wamapoke tribe.

Although Joss was a native of San Antonio, his cultural roots extended to the Comanche in Oklahoma and the White Mountain Apaches in Arizona. Authorities have apprehended Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, charging him with murder. However, the investigation continues without a confirmed motive at this stage.

Tristan Kern de Gonzales, Joss’s husband, claims the couple endured ongoing harassment and homophobic threats from neighbors, describing the tragic incident as a hate crime.

The San Antonio Police Department addressed the situation on social media, stating, “found no evidence to indicate that the Mr. Joss’s murder was related to his sexual orientation,” while also assuring the public that “should any new evidence come to light, the suspect will be charged accordingly.”
