Gas Prices in Arizona: A Winter Calm

As the festive season concludes, Arizona motorists are seeing a slight relief at the pump. The statewide average for gasoline prices has dipped by 6 cents since Christmas, settling at approximately $3.05 per gallon. While this price is marginally lower than the same period last year, it remains notably higher than the national average.

Julian Paredes from AAA Arizona shared insights on the current price trends, indicating stable conditions in the market. “Winter has historically been a pretty calm time for gas prices so no major changes are expected for the next few weeks. Things are pretty calm right now,” Paredes noted, highlighting the period’s typical stability.

In terms of regional variations, Graham County holds the record for the highest gas prices in the state, whereas La Paz County offers the most economical rates for fuel. This disparity underscores the localized nature of fuel pricing within Arizona.
