FBI Seeks Suspect in Tucson ICE Facility Incident
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is on the hunt for a suspect involved in a protest that turned violent at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Tucson. This individual is believed to have incited violence and caused notable damage during the event earlier this year.
Officials from the FBI’s Phoenix Field Office, specifically the Tucson division, have announced a reward of up to $10,000 for any information leading to the identification of this person. The agency describes the suspect as the primary instigator and responsible for “significant damage to the building” during a June protest.
During the protest, video footage captured confrontations between demonstrators and security personnel clad in riot gear, with both sides employing shields.
In a related development, Tucson police have charged two individuals who were apprehended last month. These men are accused of supplying shields, stones, and other materials at the same demonstration. Initially, they faced charges of rioting, vandalism, and terrorism. However, a grand jury has recently indicted both on a felony riot charge.
