Flagstaff’s Minimum Wage Set to Rise in 2024

As the calendar turns to 2024, Flagstaff will see its minimum wage climb to $17.85 per hour, marking an increase of 40 cents from the current rate. Workers who earn tips will also benefit, with their hourly wage rising to $16.85.

Among Arizona cities, Flagstaff stands out with the highest minimum wage, outpacing Tucson’s $15 per hour. Statewide, the minimum wage will also see an uptick, increasing by 35 cents to reach $14.70 per hour. At this rate, a full-time employee can expect to earn around $30,000 annually.

This wage adjustment follows a 2016 voter-approved initiative in Arizona, which mandates annual changes based on cost-of-living metrics. However, this adjustment does not cover state or federal workers, babysitters, or individuals employed by their parents or siblings.
