Proposed Changes in River Trip Fees at Grand Canyon National Park
Visitors planning non-commercial river trips through the Grand Canyon could soon face higher fees, as the National Park is considering a significant increase in charges.
The proposed changes would see the cost for trips from Lees Ferry to Diamond Creek rise from the current rate of $90 per person to $310 per person. Additionally, a new fee of $55 per person would be instituted for the stretch from Diamond Creek to Pearce Ferry, which has previously been free of charge.
The National Park Service is currently open to public feedback on this proposal. Interested parties can submit their comments online or in written form until January 30. For more details, visit the official website at parkplanning.nps.gov.
