Gas prices rise in Arizona, averaging $3.36 per gallon. AAA hopes for stability before Thanksgiving travel surge.
Gas prices typically drop in the holiday season. Arizona's are climbing instead

As the holiday season approaches, Arizonans are noticing an unexpected rise in gas prices, a trend typically not seen this time of year.

Currently, the average price of gasoline in Arizona stands at $3.36 per gallon, marking a 4-cent increase compared to the previous week.

Julian Paredes from AAA Arizona expressed a desire for price stabilization soon, stating, “Whatever is happening, hopefully doesn’t last long. Thanksgiving’s just around the corner and a lot of people are gonna be hitting the road. Hopefully gas prices stabilize by then.”

Paredes attributed the price hike to emergency refinery maintenance taking place in California. Within Arizona, Maricopa County holds the distinction for having the highest gas prices, while Greenlee County offers the lowest, with prices just below $3 per gallon.
