Work is set to start on Nichols Drive, aimed at roadway repairs and the construction of a new retaining wall alongside the Huron River, just north of the Nichols Arboretum. This slope stabilization project will enhance safety and infrastructure in the area.

Beginning in March, the project will initiate with tree removal and temporary lighting installations, expecting completion by fall. Nichols Drive will be closed starting in April to facilitate the improvements.

The project includes upgrades to sidewalks, curbs, fences, and lighting, enhancing pedestrian pathways and overall accessibility.
