Raleigh Welcomes New VectorTex USA Facility to Boost Local Economy

In a significant boost to Bladen County’s economy, VectorTex USA, LLC, a company specializing in product development and technology, has announced its plan to open a new manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. The move is expected to create 44 new jobs and involves an investment exceeding $6 million.

Governor Josh Stein lauded the decision, stating, “VectorTex’s decision to establish U.S. operations in Elizabethtown is great news for Bladen County and for North Carolina. These new jobs will help families thrive and strengthen our rural economy as we keep working to make North Carolina the best place to live, work, and do business.”

VectorTex USA operates under its parent company, Vector Technologies, based in Australia. The firm is known for manufacturing components for various industries, including life sciences and aquaculture. The new Elizabethtown facility will serve as a 25,000-square-foot hub focused on production and innovation, increasing the company’s proximity to significant U.S. clients.

“We’re excited to establish our new manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown, North Carolina,” said Callum de Vries, Technical Business Development Manager at VectorTex USA. “This investment strengthens our ability to serve customers across the United States, shortening supply chains and strengthening our global engineering, quality and production capability. The support we have received from North Carolina and Bladen County has been exceptional, and we’re eager to create new opportunities as we bring our advanced engineering and manufacturing operations online.”

North Carolina’s Commerce Secretary, Lee Lilley, expressed optimism about the project’s impact on the area, stating, “We’re proud to welcome VectorTex to North Carolina and Bladen County. Their investment reflects the growing confidence companies have in our state’s rural communities, infrastructure, and workforce.”

The introduction of these jobs is expected to have a significant economic impact, with an anticipated annual payroll of over $2 million. The average salary for these roles will be $48,136, aligning closely with Bladen County’s current average wage of $46,867.

Aiding this expansion is a $120,000 performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which supports local governments in drawing economic investments and new jobs. The grants require companies to achieve job creation and investment benchmarks, with local government participation as a mandatory condition.

N.C. Senator Brent Jackson highlighted the importance of such investments for rural areas, commenting, “This is the kind of investment rural North Carolina needs. VectorTex’s decision to bring jobs to Elizabethtown will strengthen our local economy and provide meaningful opportunities for hardworking folks in Bladen County.”

N.C. Representative William D. Brisson echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Bladen County is a great place to live, work, and do business. VectorTex clearly sees that. These new jobs will help our families, boost our economy, and show that rural North Carolina is ready to grow. I welcome VectorTex to Elizabethtown and look forward to their success.”

The project has been supported by numerous organizations, including the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, and local entities such as Bladen Community College and the Bladen County Economic Development Commission.
