US Sen. Bob Casey Advocates for Child Tax Credit Renewal and Middle Class Tax Cuts in New Cumberland
With Election Day approaching, US Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pennsylvania) is intensifying his appeal to voters. During a New Cumberland meeting, Casey reiterated his stance against corporate greed and the billionaires backing his opponent.
“We can say that billionaires are not going to buy this state. I look forward on election night to be able to say we beat the billionaires,” Casey declared to an enthusiastic crowd.
Casey advocated for ending Trump’s 2017 tax cuts for the wealthy, emphasizing the need to renew the child tax credit and implement middle class tax cuts. “If you give away the store again to very wealthy Americans and big corporations, there’s no possibility of a middle class tax cut,” he argued.
Flanked by US Sen. Patty Murray and State Rep. Patty Kim, Casey, who is seeking his fourth term, faces Dave McCormick, a former hedge fund manager.
“My opponent wants to double down on those corporate tax breaks, jacking up the debt by over $4 trillion,” Casey warned. He stressed that Pennsylvanians face a clear choice in this election, especially on tax policy and rights affecting state residents.
