Tragic Incident at Grand Canyon Leaves Colorado Man Dead
In a tragic event at Grand Canyon National Park, a man lost his life after his vehicle plunged over the edge of the South Rim, a spot frequently visited by tourists.
Search and rescue teams, utilizing a helicopter, retrieved the body of 27-year-old Steven ‘Drew’ Bradley from Federal Heights, Colorado. His remains were located approximately 300 feet below the rim, indicating the severity of the fall.
Following the recovery, Bradley’s body was sent to the Coconino Medical Examiner’s office for further examination. Park authorities have confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
At present, the vehicle remains lodged within the canyon, visible from the South Kaibab Trailhead. There are no immediate plans to extract it from its current location.
Second Incident of the Year
This marks the second occurrence of such a tragic event this year. Earlier, a 20-year-old from California drove off the rim near the Yavapai Geology Museum in February.
