Innovative Parking System Unveiled at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport

With the holiday season fast approaching, travelers using Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will benefit from a freshly implemented parking system designed to streamline the process of finding an available spot.

The latest addition to the airport’s amenities, a sophisticated camera-based guidance system, has been installed in the Terminal 3 Garage. This technology, which employs sensors to provide real-time monitoring of parking spaces, offers precise data concerning space availability. Drivers are directed to open spots through visual cues, simplifying the parking experience.

Jon Brodsky, a spokesperson for the airport, explained, “While it is complicated technology, from a user perspective, it’s very simple: Just look for the green light and you’ll find a space to the right or the left and the light even tells you which way to go.”

In collaboration with ACE Parking, Sky Harbor is testing the Portier VISION system in Terminal 3’s parking facility, which accommodates over 2,000 vehicles. Plans are in place to extend this system to Terminal 4, which boasts an even larger parking capacity.

Travelers planning to park at Phoenix Sky Harbor during the festive period are advised to make reservations in advance to guarantee a parking spot.
