Michigan’s Voting Spirit Captured in Art: New Stickers Announced

The creativity of Michiganders has once again been spotlighted with the unveiling of the latest “I voted” sticker designs. This year’s selection embraces the essence of Michigan’s unique culture, featuring themes such as construction, coney dogs, and the quirky Michigan Left. Other local treasures like Euchre and Petoskey stones also add a regional flair to the designs.

Residents of Michigan participated in the voting process until June 30, selecting their preferred designs from a pool of 90 entries across three categories. This year’s contest saw a remarkable increase in engagement, with a fourfold rise in submissions compared to the inaugural contest held during the 2024 presidential election year, according to an earlier press release by the Michigan Department of State.

The first contest was notable for the creation of the “iconic werewolf ripping its shirt off” design, crafted by 12-year-old Jane Hynous, which featured the U.S. flag prominently in the background. Now, the winning stickers are available for local election clerks to order and distribute at polling stations.
