Known for his unique presentations, Dorrington used Easter basket grass and Tupperware during Legislature Appropriations Committee meetings to discuss budgeted positions and “full-time equivalencies” within state government. His unconventional methods were dubbed the “famous FTE presentation” by a lobbyist. Dorrington’s parting words highlighted the dedication and intelligence of his colleagues, emphasizing the importance of continuing strong relationships and commitment.
