Tempe Police File 98 More Charges Against Former School Employee

In a shocking development, Tempe police have disclosed a significant increase in charges against a former staff member of Corona Del Sol. The individual, previously apprehended for voyeurism, now faces nearly 100 additional allegations related to the illegal recording of students.

Additional Charges and Victims Identified

Anthony Cruz, initially detained in August, was first charged with seven counts of voyeurism. However, the investigation has since expanded, leading to 98 more counts being filed. Officer Jessica Ells stated, “We were essentially able to identify a total of 38 victims, and from those victims, we were able to add 98 more counts of voyeurism, which is a Class 5 felony.”

According to Ells, the security camera in question was meant to monitor an exterior door. It was supposed to be turned off but remained on by mistake. This error resulted in the unauthorized recording of students, leaving them with no means of protecting their privacy.

Unrelated Charges of Bestiality

In addition to the voyeurism charges, Cruz is also being charged with two counts of bestiality. These charges stem from his possession of illegal videos involving animals.
