Hundreds of Jobs Available at Phoenix Open: Catering Company Seeks to Hire
The Waste Management Phoenix Open, a prominent event in Arizona’s calendar, is gearing up for its upcoming season with a flurry of recruitment activity. M Culinary Concepts, the catering service behind this and other significant local events, is on a mission to fill numerous positions this month.
Every year, the company embarks on a significant hiring spree to ensure that they have enough hospitality staff for the busy event season, which prominently features the well-attended golf tournament in February.
“But it’s all experience levels welcome. So even if you’re not sure that you can do something culinary but you’ve always wanted to try,” said ToniAnn Petrella-Diaz, human resources director for M Culinary Concepts.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 350,000 individuals in Arizona are employed in the leisure and hospitality sector. However, this number tends to decrease during the scorching summer months when temperatures soar into the triple digits.
The state witnessed a drop in leisure and hospitality jobs by several thousand from April through August. Nevertheless, the figures rebounded by November, demonstrating the sector’s resilience and seasonal nature.
