Democrats Urge Philadelphia Voters to Verify Mail-In Ballots Amid Tight US Senate Race

Voters in Southeastern Pennsylvania who used mail-in ballots are urged to check their ballot status since Tuesday is the final day to rectify errors that could prevent counting.

Philadelphia residents have until 5 p.m. Tuesday to visit the city’s “Ballots with Unverifiable Identification” page, providing proof of identification via email, fax, or in-person at City Hall, Room 142.

Montgomery County residents can email a form to the elections board by 4:30 p.m. Bucks County voters should call their board by 4:30 p.m., and Delaware County voters are advised to email or call to resolve ballot issues.

Democrats are intensifying efforts to cure ballots before Tuesday’s deadline due to the tight contest between Sen. Bob Casey (D-Penn.) and Dave McCormick.

McCormick leads by about 35,000 votes, but nearly 100,000 provisional ballots in areas like Allegheny, Bucks, Chester, and Philadelphia await counting.

The AP projected McCormick as the winner on Thursday, yet Casey has not conceded due to pending ballots.

Casey stated, “My priority has always been standing up for the people of Pennsylvania. Across our Commonwealth, nearly 7 million voted in a free and fair election.”

“I thank election workers across our Commonwealth who have diligently worked over the weekend, ensuring Pennsylvanians’ voices are heard.”
