Arizona Senator’s Text Messages Criticizing Fellow Democrats Surface

In a surprising development, private text messages from Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego have been leaked, revealing his critical views on fellow Democrats. These messages, which were published by the conservative publication Human Events, offer a glimpse into Gallego’s thoughts on the party’s image and inclusivity.

Gallego expressed his belief that the Democratic Party is perceived as lacking in fun and criticized it for not allowing traditional gender expressions, stating, “Democrats are seen as the ‘not fun party’ and not ‘allowing men to be men’ or ‘women to be hot.'” He further commented on the appearance of party members, saying, “Dem women look like Dem men and Dem men look like women.”

Another leaked message included a reaction to a meme featuring Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro from Connecticut. The meme, labeled “if erectile dysfunction had a face,” elicited a response from Gallego, who remarked, “they aren’t wrong!”

When approached by ABC15 regarding the leaked texts, Gallego expressed his dismay at the breach of privacy by a longtime friend, whose identity remains undisclosed. He noted that his comments reflect his long-standing opinion that the Democratic Party should embrace a more inclusive approach.

Despite the controversy, Gallego has not provided further comments on his statements about the physical appearance of his Democratic colleagues.
