Infant Death in Flagstaff Hotel Room Leads to Arrest
In a tragic event over the weekend, authorities in Flagstaff have charged a woman after her infant was discovered deceased in a hotel room. The incident has raised significant concerns in the local community.
The suspect, Ochra Manakaja, aged 31, faces serious charges including first-degree homicide, child abuse, and concealment of a dead body. She is currently in custody at the Coconino County jail, and officials have confirmed that no additional suspects are being sought in relation to this case.
The grim discovery was made on Sunday when police responded to a report regarding a possible infant death at the La Quinta Inn located in east Flagstaff. Inside the hotel room, officers found the lifeless body of the infant alongside two other children, ages 7 and 9, who were unharmed and are now safe under the care of authorities.
