This significant achievement is supported by a $14.4 million grant from North Carolina’s Major Events, Games, and Attractions Fund (MEGA), managed by the N.C. Department of Commerce. The grant will aid the Charlotte Sports Foundation in collaboration with the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, and other local entities in organizing this major event.

The WTA Finals in 2027 will be hosted from November 10-14 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, featuring the world’s top eight singles players and top eight doubles teams. The tournament is expected to draw around 80,000 spectators, with additional attractions such as practice sessions and fan experiences at the Charlotte Convention Center.
