Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Ranks High in Passenger Contentment
Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport has been recognized as one of North America’s leading airports in terms of passenger satisfaction. In the 2026 North American Airport Satisfaction study conducted by JD Power, Sky Harbor earned the position of third among mega airports.
A mega airport is categorized as an airport that serves over 33 million passengers annually. Sky Harbor’s ranking follows closely behind Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County and Minneapolis-Saint Paul International, the latter maintaining its top spot for the third year in a row.
In the study, Phoenix Sky Harbor achieved a score of 642 out of a possible 1,000 points. This comprehensive study was derived from nearly 25,000 surveys completed by passengers from the United States and Canada. It evaluated various elements such as ongoing construction projects, clarity of signage, terminal navigation, local branding with cuisine options, and overall passenger experiences, including spending habits.
