Phoenix Weather: Relief from Heat Expected, Cooler Temps Ahead

Temperatures in Phoenix are set to drop after a heat warning expires, with highs ranging from 101 to 109 this weekend.
Relief from above-normal heat is in the metro Phoenix forecast

The scorching temperatures that have gripped the Phoenix area for the past week are set to ease, according to meteorologist Ryan Worley from the National Weather Service in Phoenix. Residents can look forward to slightly cooler conditions as the week progresses.

“After [Thursday], that heat warning will be allowed to expire and we should actually be looking at some cooler temperatures, cooler relatively speaking of course, headed into the weekend and into next week,” said Worley.

For those in need of respite from the heat, Maricopa County offers complimentary rides to cooling centers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through a call to 211.
