Search Underway for Missing Hiker in Grand Canyon National Park
Grand Canyon National Park authorities are actively searching for a 26-year-old man who has gone missing on the South Rim of the park. The individual, identified as Sandarsh Krishna, was last potentially seen along the Rim Trail, stretching from Bright Angel Lodge to Mohave Point, sometime between 4 p.m. on Monday and midnight on Tuesday.
The park’s dispatch center received a notification on Tuesday regarding Krishna’s possible disappearance within the park’s vast and rugged landscape. Notably, Krishna does not appear to have a personal vehicle, leading officials to believe he might have used a rideshare or taxi service for his transportation needs.
Krishna is described as having a height of 5 feet 10 inches, a slender build, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his last sighting, he was dressed in athletic attire.
The National Park Service is urging anyone with relevant information about Krishna’s whereabouts to contact their Investigative Services Branch at (888) 653-0009.
