The University of Michigan’s Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) will honor 12 university staff members for their significant impact on the institution’s research enterprise. Recognized for their expertise and dedication, these individuals represent nine diverse schools, colleges, and units. Each awardee will also receive a $1,000 personal honorarium. This recognition highlights the crucial role staff members play in advancing the university’s research mission.

Acknowledging the invaluable contributions of staff, Arthur Lupia, vice president for research and innovation, stated, “Our staff members are a driving force of everything we do as a research organization.” Since the inception of the Research Staff Recognition Awards in 2001, nearly 140 staff members have been recognized for their commitment to research activities and operations at the university. The honorees will be celebrated at the Research Awards Celebration on May 14 in the Michigan League.
