The University of Michigan’s New Faculty Orientation is set for Aug. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Michigan League’s second floor. This comprehensive introduction for new faculty members aims to facilitate their transition into university life.

Organized by the Office of the Provost and the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, this orientation assists new faculty in navigating their first year. President Domenico Grasso and Provost Laurie McCauley will open the event with welcoming remarks.
Attendees will experience a CRLT Players performance, followed by interactive sessions to exchange teaching strategies. A luncheon will feature a speaker panel, including McCauley, Patricia Hurn, interim vice president for research and innovation, and Kentaro Toyama, Faculty Senate chair.
