Democrats in Pennsylvania are expressing concern over Elon Musk’s recent actions supporting Donald Trump.

Musk, CEO of X and the world’s richest individual, is hosting campaign events statewide with America PAC, his pro-Trump super PAC, giving $1 million checks to supporters who sign a constitutional pledge.

This activity has occurred at least three times recently, raising legality concerns due to federal laws against paying for votes.

Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan (D-Chester) urged the US Justice Department or Pennsylvania authorities to investigate these actions post a Kamala Harris event.

“I’m not a lawyer and Josh Shapiro is. He’s not currently in charge of any of that, and the fact that he’s indicating that there is concern, there is enough indication of concern for me,” Houlahan stated.

“It just doesn’t pass the sniff test what’s going on there. And he shouldn’t be interfering in our elections in this way.”

Governor Josh Shapiro, speaking on Meet the Press, stated Musk’s $1 million giveaways to Trump supporters “raises serious questions” and called for law enforcement scrutiny.

“I think there are real questions with how he’s spending money in this race. How the dark money is flowing not just into Pennsylvania, but apparently, now the pockets of Pennsylvanians. That is deeply concerning,” Shapiro remarked.

“I think it’s something that law enforcement can take a look at. I’m not the attorney general any more. I’m the governor but it does raise some serious questions.”
