Assistance Available for Tempe Residents and Businesses Affected by Microburst
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is stepping in to support property owners in Tempe after last month’s severe microburst caused significant damage. Starting Tuesday, SBA representatives will be stationed at the Tempe Public Library to offer guidance to affected residents and business owners.
For those looking to rebuild, the Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Tempe provides a place to receive detailed assistance from SBA personnel. Businesses and nonprofit organizations can apply for loans up to $2 million to cover necessary repairs and replacements.
Additionally, homeowners and renters have the option to borrow up to $100,000 for repairing or replacing personal property. They can also access up to $500,000 for their primary residence repairs or replacements. The interest rates are set around 4% for businesses and nonprofits, while homeowners and renters are offered a rate of approximately 3%.
For detailed information and to access loan application forms, visit the SBA’s website.
