As the anticipation builds for MLB’s Opening Day, the Arizona Diamondbacks are gearing up with exciting updates at Chase Field. Fans can look forward to new promotional giveaways and a freshly crafted menu for the 2025 season, unveiled during the team’s annual ‘What’s New at Chase’ event.
In addition to these enhancements, the Diamondbacks addressed significant renovations at the ballpark, a concern for many during the offseason.
Derrick Hall, the president and CEO of the Diamondbacks, confirmed that the longstanding roof issues at Chase Field have been resolved just in time for the season opener on March 27, when Arizona takes on the Chicago Cubs in a four-game series. While the air conditioning system is still undergoing improvements, Hall emphasized the commitment to ensuring fans enjoy a comfortable experience during the scorching summer months.
Looking to the future, Hall expressed hope regarding House Bill 2704, a legislative measure aimed at funding further stadium improvements by reallocating Chase Field’s employee income and state taxes. This bill has successfully passed the Arizona House and is now pending approval by a Senate committee.

Anticipation for the Upcoming Season
After an 89-73 season that ended without a postseason appearance, the Diamondbacks are eager for a comeback. Luis Gonzalez, former Diamondback and current senior advisor, is hopeful about the new roster’s potential for postseason contention in 2025.
“For us, it’s all about change all the time,” Gonzalez remarked. “We know in today’s society, everyone is always trying to do something new, something different. … It’s all about social media and things like that, so having events like this showing our promotions, and having influencers out here for the food is creating content and a lot of interest for our fans.”
