As Thanksgiving approaches, significant changes to parking and transportation services will be implemented. These adjustments are crucial for staff, patients, and visitors planning to access facilities during the holiday break. Understanding these shifts will aid in navigating parking areas and utilizing transit services effectively. Essential details are outlined below for clarity.
Parking
- Staff parking: Enforcement is suspended on November 28-29 for permits and meter fees except in Rogel Cancer Center, Taubman North/South, Mott/Simpson, Frankel Cardiovascular Center parking structures, and M71 and M95 lots. Special spaces still require permits. Regular enforcement resumes at 6:00 a.m. on November 30.
- Patient and visitor parking: No changes from November 28 to December 1 in P1, P2/P3, P4, and P5. Fletcher Street and Palmer areas are free for patients/visitors from 6:00 p.m. on November 27 to 6:00 a.m. on November 30.
- Yellow AVI permit holders can park at P3, P4, and P5 on November 28-29, as during university holidays. Details at Yellow Permit Parking.
Transit
- No bus or shuttle services on November 28-29. Weekend transit resumes on November 30.
- No East Ann Arbor Employee Parking Shuttle, Late Night Shuttle (ends 6:00 a.m. November 28), Ride Home, or State St. Ride from November 28 to December 1. Services resume December 2.
- No paratransit services on November 28-29.
