Raleigh, N.C. is set to become the global headquarters for Ralliant Corporation, following an announcement by Governor Josh Stein. The decision is expected to bring 180 new jobs to Wake County, along with an investment of $2.1 million in Raleigh’s North Hills area.

“North Carolina’s technology hub has attracted another great company to our state,” expressed Governor Stein. “We welcome Ralliant to the Research Triangle, where they can tap into our highly skilled workforce and workforce training systems to supercharge their business.”

Ralliant is preparing to emerge as an independent public entity after its separation from Fortive Corporation (NYSE: FTV) in early Q3 2025. Previously part of Fortive’s Precision Technologies segment, the company is recognized for its precision technologies that drive industry advancements and secure mission-critical operations in various sectors, including test and measurement and aerospace. Establishing its base in Raleigh aims to foster innovation and growth for Ralliant.

Tami Newcombe, President and CEO of Ralliant, stated, “Raleigh is an ideal location with its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies. We are excited to build our future here—driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”

Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley added, “Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life. Our state’s strengths in data analytics and IT product development, along with our world-class universities and research institutions, provide the deep pool of talent companies need to succeed.”

The North Carolina Department of Commerce played a crucial role in supporting Ralliant during its site evaluation process. The average salary for the roles being created is $189,479, significantly higher than Wake County’s average wage of $76,643. This will result in an annual payroll impact exceeding $30 million for the community.

The project is supported by a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) authorized by the state’s Economic Investment Committee. The initiative is anticipated to boost the state’s economy by over $975 million over 12 years. The JDIG agreement permits potential reimbursements of up to $2,630,250 to the company, conditional on performance assessments confirming job creation and investment objectives are met.

Ralliant’s choice of Wake County, a Tier 3 area in the state’s economic tier system, also means the JDIG agreement will direct $876,750 to the state’s Industrial Development Fund – Utility Account. This account aids rural communities with infrastructure enhancements necessary for business attraction, ensuring even Tier 3 expansions benefit the state’s less economically advantaged regions.

N.C. Senator Jay Chaudhuri welcomed the decision, stating, “We’re excited to see a sophisticated technology company like Ralliant select Raleigh and Wake County for their world headquarters. Their confidence in our region is well-founded, and we look forward to seeing their company put down roots and grow in the Research Triangle area.”

N.C. Representative Tim Longest expressed gratitude to the collaborative efforts that made Ralliant’s decision possible, noting, “Companies appreciate seeing this level of collaboration, which will continue as the company takes the next steps in establishing its headquarters in Raleigh.”

The project saw collaboration from entities including the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina General Assembly, and multiple educational and local bodies such as the N.C. State University and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
